PROBSTDORFER name first appears in 1947, with the establishment of Probstdorfer Saatzucht company. By taking the company’s management by Fritz Mauthner in 1970 , the company became one of the most creative founder of modern varieties of cereals in Europe.
For over 60 years, specialists have created wonderful Probstdorfer modeling genetic patterns, including forming a school of prominent geneticists and breeders who have created excellent varieties, both as production potential and especially as ecological plasticity and high quality production .
Since 2000, Probstdorfer Saatzucht spread to Romania where it was created Probstdorfer Saatzucht Romania company. In just four years, until 2004, Probstdorfer Saatzucht Romania had already over 5% of cultivated area with its varieties. Probstdorfer is growing in Romania. Many farmers joined in cause with Probstdorfer to grow the best varieties to grow and prepared to create the European Centre for Premium Winter Wheat (CEPW), with the stated aim of getting a better price for better quality.
